I am a volunteer at Carters Canine Rescues. I promote all the dog adoptions by placing our rescues on this website for public view. We have had many adoptions because this is where they saw the dog first. The family that adopted Toby searched out puppies in her area and found Toby. She was familiar with our facility and mission, so they came to meet him on Sat at our adoption event and fell in love. Their female dog, who needs a playmate, is being introduced to Toby at the rescue kennels where Toby lives. It looks like this is a great match. They both have a lot of energy and can wear each other out! Thank you, Rescue Me, for being out there for me, to post these deserving rescues an opportunity to find good homes. Toby will be one happy pup!

Harley is now living with me and my three other hounds at 'Hound Haven' also known as my home near the ocean. His owner loved him but could not keep him due to extenuating circumstances. She rescued him from a kill shelter where someone brought him. He looks like he was used for hunting and kept outside due to his somewhat frayed ears. She treated his heartworm condition successfully too. The good woman even drove him all the way up to my house! He is the best Coonhound! My three female hounds think he's handsome. He'll be getting some needed dental work by a specialist and have a lesion removed from his neck. He is very happy here and gets to go to the big dog park four or five times a week to meet new pals and run around. He loves curling up on a couch or chair and eating good food. What more could someone ask of a dog? Thank you, Rescue Me!

Dixie was adopted yesterday, thanks to Rescue Me. After talking to and meeting the couple, I was very impressed. The couple who adopted her definitely seem to be true dog lovers and she will be living with people who really want to provide love, care and positive-reinforcement based training to her. From the video they sent me, she is already adjusting well to her new home and play-wrestling with her new fur-brother. I couldn't be happier for her!!!

I mistakenly put this dog up for adoption posting her as a Doberman when in fact she was actually a Coon Hound. A Rescue Me representative was nice enough to take the time to repost her as a Coon Hound, and even took the time to call me and let me know. I want to thank them so much because that is where the person who adopted her discovered her. She was looking for another Coon Hound to replace one she had previously owned and had died. Thank you so much! I used to operate a small dog rescue, but now with my husband gone, I am no longer able to bring any more dogs home. With your help, I have been able to place several dogs that would of had remained outdoors in the cold at the agency where I work. My heart is overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness for providing such a wonderful site to place dogs up for adoption! Thank you is not enough!

You did a fabulous job with your post and I will definitely be donating to Rescue Me. All of my best to you and to all of the animals looking for their forever home, Sharon

We found a good home for Mercy with the Hunt Master on a private hunting reserve. He lives with a lively pack of coon dogs who are trained for the hunt. I am pleased with this placement and he seems to be happy too. I am able to see him from time to time and keep up with his progress. Thank you, Rescue Me, for your interest in Mercy. He was so pitiful when I found him and now he is healthy and courageous in his new home.

I rescued a female Black and Tan Coonhound that had been abused and used for breeding. Her last litter she was C-Sectioned, they thought she was done so she was put out on the street. I took her in and she was pregnant. She had seven beautiful Black and Tans. I decided to keep the puppies for 12 weeks until they were old enough to be spayed and neutered. The mom was such a good mother. I had her spayed so she could finally retire and just be loved. I decided to keep the mother and give her the love and life she deserves. I am VERY SELECTIVE about the type of family, home and life I want for the puppies. I described in the post on Rescue Me what my expectations were. I got SERIOUS inquiries, GOOD PEOPLE. I can't express enough the positive outcome I have experienced thanks to RESCUE ME. I FOUND 5 TERRIFIC homes for each of the puppies. I took my time. I was selective, talked with many people, meet with them. So many people willing to travel to get that extended family member, it's that important to them. This WEBSITE gave me the opportunity to HAND PICK the perfect homes for these puppies. ALL were friendly and willing to keep in contact and give me updates for a couple of weeks. I meet some wonderful people during this process. I would definitely suggest this be the BEST WAY to find a good home for a pet in need. THANKS SO MUCH!!!!

Back in May, someone abandoned the two Coonhounds, Ginger and Ruby, on our street. A neighbor would have shot and killed them, had they wandered onto his property. So I took them in my home, much to the dismay of my hubby. I tried to find them homes as the weeks went on. I found Rescue Me!, and put them up for adoption here. I had many phone calls, and had people come by to see them. I received a call from a gentleman two states away, he was driving out here, approximately four to six hours to pick them both up! So I got my wish, a good loving home, and the two of them staying together. I couldn't have done it without Rescue Me! I am very grateful I found you through a search engine. Thanks for everything!

A couple from Tennessee saw Maybelle's picture on Rescue Me! and drove down to our shelter in Oxford, Mississippi and adopted her! This is despite bad directions that took them all over town, and added an hour to their trip. They even changed her name to my name - Judy - since I'm the volunteer who posted her on Rescue Me!

We have a wonderful new Family Member! He is Clyde, a Beautiful Black and Tan Coonhound. He is sweet, sensitive and loving. He is approximately three years old and has the most wonderful howl! My husband and I are just loving him, as is our other dog, a female Lab mix. The two of them are great friends already. As soon as we get our driveway gate lowered so the dogs cannot get underneath it, the two of them can run all over our country property. His former owner has already been up to see him, and we are hoping she will come often. It was hard for her to give up this sweet boy. Thank you, Rescue Me!, for helping us to find this wonderful dog. He will be loved and well taken care of forever!

Gypsy Girl was adopted by a lovely family that lives on a chicken farm. Gypsy is getting a daily dose of 100 hugs from a three year old, and perfecting the art of toy-playing and napping. She brought happiness to all!

Copper found a wonderful home after he was posted on Rescue Me! He will live with two fur-siblings and a 'skin sister' on lots of land to run and play on. He is most comfortable curling up with his sister! Copper is one very special boy and I will miss him very much, but I know he is going to love his new life!! Thank you, Rescue Me!

I listed Gracie on Rescue Me! at the advice of someone who had used it successfully before... She was adopted by a family who wanted a companion for their 3 year old male Black and Tan. When we took her for a visit it was clear she was home. She now has her companion Cletus, kids to play with, a large fenced in yard, a bed in the home with the family, and the promise of a great life. God put her where she was meant to be and used Rescue Me! to do it. Gracie, her new family, and her old one are all so very grateful!
