This guy is going to be a great addition to a family! Rocky was on his final days at a euthanizing shelter when Dogworks agreed to rescue him. He weighs 58 lbs at about 2 years of age. We are guessing that he is a Rottweiler/hound mix. He is VERY handsome and VERY energetic! Foster family reports that he likes chew on toys, and bounce 'like a kangaroo.' Rocky loves playing with the other dogs in his foster home.He does settle down with enough activity and is becoming a great cuddler. He has bonded with the kids in his foster home. Rocky comes ...     Hi there! My name is HoneyPot. I'm about 2 years old and I weigh about 50 lbs. I was found as a stray in the Calcutta/ East Liverpool area and I was picked up by the pound. I am a very, very sweet and expressive dog. I love people and I get along great with other dogs. I am still a young girl and I do need some training and housebreaking still. I need to find a loving home with lots of patience and someone who is experienced with having hounds. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me! I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with ... (Read More)panacur dewormer. Black and Tan Coonhound Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

Oliver is a very sweet beagle (possible coonhound mix) puppy with great energy and is house trained (occasional small accident when he's excited) Loves chewing on his toys (and sometimes socks). He has had his first round of vaccinations and heart medicine. He has separation anxiety and is quite vocal about it, which with our apartment living situation is the reason why we have to let him go. He is very lovable, loves naps, loves attention and walks. We are hoping he can go to a great home that can provide him with what he needs! He has food bowls, some toys, and a very large bag of food that we are able to provide

Rescue Me ID: 15-01-09-00583Marco (male)

Black and Tan Coonhound Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This boy NEEDS a home!!! I brought him home to bond with my dog Chance for when I go to medical school in 6 months. However, mom can't take the stress of another animal in the house right now. Today, I had to let him go back to the shelter, which was the hardest thing I've ever done. I only had him for 4 days, but I'm heartbroken and a mess. Let me tell you a little bit about him. They're guessing that he's a Coonhound mix, about 40 pounds, and between 2-5 years old. The shelter also named him Marco. I was calling him Brewski, which he responded to after only a couple hours. After having plenty of dogs, everything that I saw that ... (Read More)supposedly tells you a dog's age...I'd be willing to bet money that he can't be older than 2. The shelter named him Marco. I was calling him Brewski, which he responded to after only a couple of hours. I potty trained him in only 3 days. He's exceptionally smart, perceptive, and knows all of the basic commands. He does NOT chase cats (we have 6, he never bothered them), he does NOT shed, and he was even good around our bunny. He loves giving kisses and sleeps well throughout the night (no whining!). We bonded so quickly and he made me feel so safe. He'd be great with even the smallest of kids. Pull his tail, his ears, hands in his mouth, he doesn't care. He just wags and gives tongue-out smiles. If you or anyone you know is looking for an amazing family dog, PLEASE visit him at the Animal Adoption Foundation on US 27 near Ross, Ohio. This is their website and contact info: http://www.aafpets.org/contact-us/ I want him so badly to have a home, but that just can't be with me right now. For his sake I want him to be adopted before I have the chance to a few months from now. He's so good. I just want him to know there's life and love outside of a cage as soon as possible. Questions welcome. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-03-24-00078Brownie (male)

Black and Tan Coonhound Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Cancer

[Read About Natural Cancer Care] BROWNIE is very sweet and laced with caramel-colored markings. He is a hound mix adult dog who gets along well with other dogs and people. He is curious about cats and may chase or bark at them, so he would require supervision and correction in any home with cats. He is coexisting in a foster home with 9 cats. He spends most of his time napping and looking out the window. He enjoys some lap time too. He is friendly and affectionate and loves to be petted. He is not a very big dog weighing 37 pounds. He is neutered, house trained, HW negative and up-to-date on all his shots. He had a melanoma removed ... (Read More)from his mouth but it was caught early and he has not had any issues related to that. Please consider giving this delightful dog a place in your heart and in your home. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Brownie if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help to cover the cost of the veterinary care he has received. (Less)
