Rescue Me ID: 15-08-05-00292Sabrina (female)

Black and Tan Coonhound Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Vaccinations Current

SABRINA is a very friendly, tri-color beauty who is energetic, but well behaved. She was picked up as a stray in Troy, TN, and had to be rescued when her time was up at Troy Animal Control and she was not claimed. Sabrina is estimated to be one year old. She may be a hound or shepherd mix. She weighs 31 pounds. She tested negative for heartworm. She has been vaccinated and will be spayed prior to her adoption. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Sabrina if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make ... (Read More)a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue to cover the cost of the veterinary care she has received. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-05-00150Ellie May (female)

Black and Tan Coonhound Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Vaccinations Current

Adoption Pending. ELLIE MAY is a sweet, tri-color beauty who is energetic, but in a calm way. She wants to play but does not jump up and nearly knock you down in the process. She is good with children. A volunteer with children visited with Ellie May and had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. Ellie was calm and sweet throughout the entire visit. She sat when the child asked her to do so. She gently took treats from her hand and the child was able to pet her on her head while she ate her treat. The child could touch her paws and pet her chest. She showed no signs of any issues with touching in any of the areas we use for ... (Read More)temperament testing. Our volunteer said that she and her family 'came in like gangbusters' and Ellie was eager to see them, very friendly and outgoing, not shy at all. She was picked up as a stray in Troy, TN, and had to be rescued when her time was up at Troy Animal Control and she was not claimed. She is food protective at this time which is not a surprise considering she had to search for food as a stray, but this is something that can be resolved once she realizes she is safe and is getting regular meals. In the meantime, we would just recommend you feed her separately if you have a home with more than one dog. Otherwise, Ellie gets along well with other dogs. We have not observed her with cats. Ellie May is estimated to be 7 to 8 months old. She may be a hound or shepherd mix. She weighs 45 pounds. She tested negative for heartworm. She has been vaccinated and will be spayed prior to her adoption. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Ellie May if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue to cover part of the cost of the veterinary care she has received. (Less)
