Black and Tan Coonhound    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello hound lovers! My name is Susie Q! I'm a 5 year old Spayed Black and Tan Coonhound girl. I weigh 66.2 lbs. I'm perfectly gorgeous and the sweetest girl you could ever hope to meet, the way all B&Ts should be! I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the people I have ever met, even the little ones! I Have a beautiful, shiny coat and great teeth for a gal my age! My eyes are also nice and clear. I was obviously someone's house dog as I know ALL about being inside! I know not to go potty in my kennel or when I am in the office. Also, I know the comfiest spot in the place is the couch and that is where I like to be! I am a big ol' couch potato coonie ... (Read More)girl! I am at a great stage of my life! I am past that annoying puppy stage, but at the same time, I have plenty of energy that I could be someone's walking/ jogging partner. Speaking of walking/jogging... those are some of my favorite activities aside from being a couch potato! So, I'm sure you remember that I said I LOVE all people... well, I can be a little bit more selective about who my new dog friends can be, so it is VERY important that I meet any new dogs (if any) that will be in my new family to make sure we will get along. I do have a lump on my neck. It is in an area that interferes with me being walked because it's in a spot that both a collar and a harness will run it, which is obviously uncomfortable. The Pittsburgh Vet Tech Institute has graciously volunteered to remove for the pound, which is totally awesome! Kudos, PVI!! (I will be at PVI from 5/14/15- 5/22/15 so therefore, I will be unavailable for meet and greets during that time frame.) I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer. SUSIE Q HAS RECEIVED A FULL SPONSORSHIP TO GO TO ANY APPROVED RESCUE GROUP! Thank you so much Cindy!! *Please note that sponsorships are for approved rescue groups only. They do not apply to unapproved rescue groups or private adopters.* PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER APRIL 5, 2015. HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS. MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO. THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS. (Less)

Black and Tan Coonhound Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Cancer

[Read About Natural Cancer Care] BROWNIE is very sweet and laced with caramel-colored markings. He is a hound mix adult dog who gets along well with other dogs and people. He is curious about cats and may chase or bark at them, so he would require supervision and correction in any home with cats. He is coexisting in a foster home with 9 cats. He spends most of his time napping and looking out the window. He enjoys some lap time too. He is friendly and affectionate and loves to be petted. He is not a very big dog weighing 37 pounds. He is neutered, house trained, HW negative and up-to-date on all his shots. He had a melanoma removed ... (Read More)from his mouth but it was caught early and he has not had any issues related to that. Please consider giving this delightful dog a place in your heart and in your home. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Brownie if it means he will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help to cover the cost of the veterinary care he has received. (Less)
