Hi! My name is Rupert and I am a relatively calm boy who is content to just lounge around the house. I love to have a routine but my favorite thing in the world is belly rubs. I take a little while to warm up to new things and new people, but once I do you will be my best friend (especially if you give me treats!). I get along well with both dogs and cats; please just introduce me slowly. I would probably do best in a home with another dog to keep me company and to play with me. This past week I was introduced to different areas around here and I am doing better every time I go back to the room! My tail goes up each time I go into the ... (Read More)different rooms and my nervousness is becoming less each time. Some of the other dog handlers around here will call me over to them and either pet me or give me a treat and then pet me to help me build up my confidence with people other than my trainers. While on walks, I have started showing more interest in sniffing people when they are walking past, though I'm still hesitant when they reach toward me. My trainers are helping me to build my confidence and allowing others to pet me while on walks. I hope there is a family out there that will be patient with me to learn that the world isn't so scary. If you are looking for a laid back, adorable family member then I am the guy for you! I weigh 46 pounds and I will be ready to go to my forever home on May 20th. Submit your adoption application today! I'm neutered and UTD on all my vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of my own. RPSM recommends children 6 years and older. I will require a standard fenced in yard for my safety. If you are interested in adopting me, please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. My adoption fee is $250. (Less)
