Meet Ginger! DOB 11/11/16 Female Hound Mix Currently About 17lbs. Ginger came to us from Alabama with her brother Fred where they had been abandoned. She gets along with all humans and is gentle with small children. She tolerates other dogs, but is fairly independent and does not need to have another dog in her home. She has not been in contact with cats. She loves her crate and naps there often during the day while the door is left open and she sleeps through the night nicely. She is working on housebreaking and knows what to do while outside but has not developed a signal to alert her people that she needs to go out. With some continued ... (Read More)training, she will have this mastered in no time. Ginger walks well on a leash and knows how to sit when asked. She LOVES to cuddle and will crawl right up in your lap for a nap. She also loves squeaky toys and chasing after balls. She is playful but fairly easygoing, relaxed, and low maintenance for a puppy. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details.
